Sugar Ridge Homes are of Classic Caribbean design with a contemporary twist.
Mongoose Developments Limited, an Antiguan company, owns the property known as Sugar Ridge. The McCauley family from the UK, owns the company. They operate a global engineering business and companies that own commercial and residential real estate in the United Kingdom and the United States.
OBM International Ltd. are the architects for the development.
Mitch Stuart has been the lead architect since the conception of Sugar Ridge.
Sugar Ridge Homes are of Classic Caribbean design with a contemporary twist. They have
high ceilings and louvred windows to take advantage of the cooling breezes and huge glass pocket doors and picture windows to frame the stunning Sugar Ridge signature views. All the bedrooms are King sized with ensuite bathrooms and are all linked to the communal living spaces, which lead directly out to large covered terraces with alfresco dining and chill out area, and onto the pool deck with infinity pool. Perfect for open plan, indoor/outdoor, year round living. Most of the accommodation is on one level with perhaps one bedroom suite downstairs. Additional bedrooms are achieved by building Cottage Suites in the garden.
The internal and external floors, and the bathroom walls are tiled with Travertine stone tiles. The pool is fully tiled. The doors and windows are all aluminium, hurricane rated, double glazed and UK produced. The Kitchens are German by Schuller, the Appliances are Smeg, the Bathrooms are Duravit, Kohler or equivalent. The lighting are all statement designer fixtures.
After the initial discussions and selection process, it takes 3 months to purchase the land and design your home. It will then take around 12 months to build once the building contract has been signed and the mobilisation paid. So expect around 18 months in all. However for those who wish to purchase developed properties, there are normally one or two completed homes available for purchase.
