We are excited about the announcement of accomplished actresses, Angela Bassett and Dawnn Lewis, recently appointed as Antigua and Barbuda’s newest Tourism Ambassadors. These talented women are well-known for their award-winning performances on stage and screen and bring their passion for travel and exploration to this exciting new role.
Angela Bassett is an Oscar nominated acclaimed actress and producer, known for her powerful performances in films such as "What's Love Got to Do With It," "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," and "Waiting to Exhale." She has also been involved in several philanthropic initiatives, including serving as a UNICEF ambassador.
Dawnn Lewis is an accomplished actress, singer, and songwriter, known for her roles on TV shows such as "A Different World," "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," “Grey’s Anatomy,” and "The Masked Singer." She has also lent her talents to several animation projects, including "Futurama," "The Boondocks," and "Steven Universe."
As Tourism Ambassadors, Bassett and Lewis will be tasked with promoting Antigua and Barbuda as a top destination for travelers from around the world. They will work to showcase the country's stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and warm, welcoming people.

Our newest Tourism Ambassadors along with Dean Fenton, Antigua and Barbuda Director of Tourism USA were hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Sotheby’s International Realty team at a private cocktail and dinner to enjoy a bespoke in-villa luxury experience. As the sun set, our VVIP guests embraced our warm hospitality as they indulged in the scrumptious local cuisine prepared by one of our favorite local chefs, Chef David and danced to the sweet sounds of Gavin and his band featuring Aubrey “Lacu” Samuel, a well-known Caribbean panist. We were extremely grateful to have hosted our new Tourism Ambassadors at Sunset Sonata, one of Antigua’s newest luxury villas located in Jolly Harbour, exclusively listed with Antigua and Barbuda Sotheby’s International Realty.
